Sure wish they would put up boards like Auburn's at both ends of the stadium. As an engineering, science, and technology university, our boards are puny compared to many of our top national competitors, and that is sad.

rusted and dirty in the second pick. Almost to the unrecognizable point. Maybe time for some paint or it to be professionally remade in the same vintage look. It's so old it's going to turn to dust in a few.

I like the orange much better too...and keep the vintage tiger with the moving tail to pay homage to the old days. While we're at it though, we should get a different sound bite than the Carolina panther screech we got from the first NFL season in Clemson and use the real tiger roar.

Orangeday, I feel the same way, though evidently I'm in the minority. When I went to CU in the early/mid 90s, blue was used mostly and looked great. I know we use the regalia (but everyone just calls it purple) to honor our military tradition, but it just looks effeminate to me. Coach ford used black a lot for the third color, which I could go with as well, or gray goes awesome for a third color. All shades that can be found on a tiger. Not a fan of the purple. I don't buy CU clothing, decals, etc. that has purple on it. not that anybody cares about my .02! : )

This proves it.....the other part of the "ban the cannon" proposal was for the tiger's head on the top of the scoreboard to go away....you know the one, whose eyes light up and tail wags when we score (and the cannon used to go off). It seems that some in the AD thought the old Tiger head was outdated and not classy enough.
This really p's me off.

Agreed... That was one of the most compelling parts of the stadium as a kid, growing up in Death Valley. Same idea as dropping those trees by LJC.. Tradition seems to be fading in this new AD.

Looks like tiger still there amidst the "haze". Been there since I was a kid going to games in the 80's, and likely way before then too. Our history is our strength

I believe the Scoreboard should say Death Valley. Memorial Stadium just does not sound as good as Death Valley.

I think we need a real Tiger on the side line at the games. Wonder why we have never done it? LSU has Mike. He is intimidating as hell when they bring him out. Memphis even has a live tiger. Why dont we get one. North Alabama has 2 lions. We need a real tiger.
