I wouldn’t call it delusional. We always get out recruited by UGA. I think maybe we beat them in rankings here and there but we don’t spend $ like they do. They are right, when they say we aren’t technically landing a ton of top 100 guys. It’s going to be tough for us to go get a TL16 or DW4 with the way NIL is now days. Dabo doesn’t use NIL to sell kids. He finds kids with good Character and try’s to sell development as a player and a person.
But when you are a top 10 players money talks. I don’t care who you are.

yes they arent delusional, they have won national titles since our 2 and have owned us on the field and recruiting for a while now. Our recruiting is good but we need to start landing more defensive studs . We have struck out recently with defensive ends, Rumph got the 3 star kid from Tennessee but we need better talent at end after this season for sure.

very intelligent post there. Thanks for proving your ignorance. Everything I posted was factual, we have missed on our last several DE prospects , we absolutey need some studs there once Tj Parker and Heldt are gone.

We’ll have to beat them to prove it, they could lose to GT this season & almost lost last season. UGA has the richest recruiting State period and has recruited at the top for years but their results considering hasn’t been great until the last few years.
The only way they would be impressed is if we beat them and win a National Championship again.
Clemson has been good enough to not worry about impressing anyone minus the recruits and the Playoff committee.
Go Tigers

Sucks to be #6 when Clemson is #3. I had to look all the way down the list to see the coots at #54.

I don’t agree with most of what the ug dog fans have written in that thread. However, the comment about using Barrett Carter as a negative example for Clemson while recruiting is probably a valid point. He came in as a 5* recruit, some services had him in the top 20 players nationally.
Either he wasn’t as good as projected or Clemson didn’t develop him. His PFF rating dropped each year (he was getting worse). Likely it was due to the experiment with the former DC / LB coach, but it is a good way to shade those current 5* LB’s away from Clemson, unfortunately.
Clemson would make the argument that they have corrected the issue with LB coaching, but you don’t always get the chance to make your argument after a kid is convinced otherwise.

I do envy their RB recruiting
Herschel Walker was almost a tiger.
If that had happened the situation would be reversed.

Yet ever since Matt Luke left Athens their O-line has declined and will be the weakness of their team in 2025.
Meanwhile in Clemson our O-line made a pretty good leap in just one year under Luke. And now he has put together the best O-line class in school history.

We aren't impressed with how many legs thru hump or how many get arrested. I personally don't pay any other teams any attention at all. I love Clemson and no one else! Go Tigers!
