Great course. Played there when the GGO was at Forest Oaks. Played FO too, another great track in the triad.

I'm surprised you would put HT ahead of the other courses you've played. I've played there several times and can't put it in my top 5. I'd love to go to Scotland to play.

It would be considered a dog track here. It's only on the list because of it's history.
BTW - a trip to Scotland it worth it.

One of my best friends called me a month ago and said he was invited to play Pine Valley and Merion July 30 and 31 and said he was told me could bring another person. So he called and asked me if I wanted to go. That just happens to be the same day as the NC Bar Exam I'm registered for. I still considered it, but I knew if I did that my wife would divorce me immediately (something something added bonus something)! It was hard to say no to.

I laugh because some people think they are getting a deal. Their driving range is literally a pasture...like there are horses looking over the fence at you.

The LPGA course in Wilmington and the one in Newark. Can't remember the Newark course's name but it was the better of the 2 IMO. Played a member-guest there and finished 2nd.

because I'm not spending $300 for a round of golf. I've been lucky to play some good ones for free (luckily I know some golf industry folks).
1. Ocean Course (but it's too hard to enjoy) and all the other Kiawah Courses 2. Okatie, Colleton River, and a bunch of other HH courses 3 The Reserve 4. Cliffs at Keowee 5. Lookout Mountain - Chattanooga (cause it was on top of a mountain and had an "infinite" driving range off the top of the mountain - thought that was cool)
best round at a quality course - shot 71 at Opryland the week after they had a Senior Tour event there.

In my opinion if you've played the Dye course there you've probably played the best course in Bluffton/Hilton Head. Although I think Haig Point on DI is still a little nicer.
