If he wants to go to an FBS school, especially a power 5 school, he is going to have a tough time being the starter. He simply isn't good enough to just walk into a new environment, with a new system, with different players and coaches, and start from day one.
If he truly wants to start, he should consider an FCS school or division II.

I have not seen one coach come out or even vaguely comment on wanting kB to come to their team. This is nothing but fans all talking and more or less voicing their displeasure with their own qbs. I’m not saying kB won’t go to a great pwr5 school and start, but nothing on social media or networks has been from coaches. Another point is coaches most likely would not reveal if they are currently in contact with kB

Yes, I agree most offenses run the RPO offense so he could get picked up by a lot of schools. And make a legitimate impact but he's not a good passer so he's still limits your offense. But Best of luck KB..

Of course they do, he's an athletic QB who started on a playoff team from last year. But I don't think that is the same as him necessarily winning the starting job at one of those schools.

Man, have you seen the laundry list of teams lining up for his services?
Florida wants him. Arkansas wants him. NC State is interested. If Jarrett Stidham goes, Auburn would take him in a flat second. UCLA and Oregon are both in the market for QB's. Most, if not all, run either our system - Arkansas, Auburn - or systems that are very similar (Florida, Oregon, UCLA.) Ohio State could well jump in if Dwayne Haskins goes pro at the end of the year.
Look across America at various message boards - even teams as far away as Michigan, Syracuse, and Washington have their fans openly talking about wanting him.
He's going to have options. A lot of options.
The guy is a very, very good QB. I'd put him at about a 7 or 7.5 out of 10, and a borderline NFL guy - which is a mile better than most college teams have. I've seen multiple NFL scouts that have him rated as at least a fifth-rounder with developmental potential.
We're just spoiled because he was wedged in between two first-rounders and two of the most talented QB's we've ever seen at Clemson. But make no mistake: Kelly Bryant is legit.

I understand that fans and media are talking about him, but where have you seen coaches say they wanted him? Or anyone affiliated with any of those schools say they wanted him?
Also, I’m sure you’ve read a website where a “scout” has said he could be a 5th rd draft pick, but Kelly Bryant will never be drafted in the nfl as a qb. It’s not gonna happen. I’m not sure why you say he is a very very good qb. What have you seen out of him as a passer to say that? What about his pocket awareness? Ability to read defenses? Because he is below par in all of those traits. I wish him well, but he’s not going to have as many options as you think. If he wants to start somewhere, and keep the job all year, he needs to go to a smaller school.

I never said they wouldn't. After all, he's a solid QB and he has big game experience at a top program.
But let's not kid ourselves, he is not even a borderline NFL QB. His throwing mechanics are poor, his ability to accurately pass beyond 10 yards on a consistent basis is shaky, and his ability to read defenses is questionable.
I am sure he will go to another power five school, but given the above deficiencies, I think he will have difficulty starting.

Honestly, I'm not flaming, I just never got the feeling that he regularly put the team on his back for a win. I feel like most of our success last year was the result of us being more talented than the other team, especially our talent on defense. He played great in a few games, like the Miami game, but those performances were not the norm. He averaged less than 1 TD pass per game as a starter. That's awful.
Don't get me wrong, he's a steady, dependable QB. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes, which is fine if he is surrounded by a lot of talent. Put him on a team with some significant talent deficiencies, ask him to go against a top flight defense, or require him to get into a shootout type of a game, and he's not going to come through.

I think KB is a solid QB, definitely better than average, but nothing spectacular. I felt that he held our offense back last year and when he played this year. He makes some nice plays, but plenty of bad ones. I think he can help a team, but I don't think he is the kind of talent who can transfer to another top program and expect to start.

For those surprised or commenting that coaches are not talking about wanting him...that's because they can't. It's against recruiting rules. So even besides the impact it would have on their current QB in house, they would be hit with NCAA sanctions.
Kelly will land somewhere and he will start. Many people on these boards defended him many times saying he'd start for several of our opponents and for most other ACC schools. He won't have his pick of the litter just because of situational opportunity and because he's a one-year "rental", but he'll land somewhere.

I disagree. I’d actually argue that his phone has been ringing off the hook lately from coaches A-Z, even if only to pick his brain about our system and how to defeat us. Happens in the NFL all the time. Day one in the door, they’re asking you to draw the plays on the board for the defense.

if KB goes to one school and after about the second start, he's yanked and the backup starts? Does e just quit then or what? Just a though... unlikely to happen... but wouldn't you wonder this if you were a coach... i.e.
"Hmmm, I take KB... and he can't cut it... I have to pull him... he quits/complains, etc. Bad publicity all around... Do I take that chance?"

If not for Trevor Lawrence, he would still be starting at a P5 school.
If he picks the right situation, he will start at a P5 school next fall, and he will do well.
His only roadblock to starting at a P5 school in 2018 was the presence of the #1 recruit in all of college football.
