It's still the college football offseason, so talk of schedules, jerseys, and mascots are in order. NBC Sports released their top 25 jerseys in college football recently and had Clemson ranked No. 11 overall. It's a silly subjective list but the title alone is gonna trigger more of us (maybe that's the point) so I came up with one of my own. 
I, too, love the purple for military appreciation! I only wish more people knew about it when we do it. Happy Memorial Day weekend, y'all!

I LOVE the purple combinations we have and wish we would wear them more ??????
Purple tops, white bottoms
Purple tops, orange bottoms
White tops, purple bottoms
Heck, jus break'em out for the in-state FCS games or even homecoming to make it interesting.
Well, at least the NCAA Football game is coming back so I can change the look as much as I want on there ??

I like the purple (actually, I love it!), but I think too much purple-and-white alone without any orange would not look right, know what I mean? TCU colors, for example, never really did anything for me. Gotta have SOME orange in there I think, but that's personal for sure.
I'll also never understand why our purple tops look blue on TV for the night games (should we only do purple for daylight games?).

I guess I meant ONLY purple and white as it was written above.
It's funny, I mean, I absolutely love the purple uniforms, but until thinking about it just today it HAS to have some orange in it (like we do now). I never thought about it before but purple and white with no orange is oddly horrid, but MOSTLY purple with white and orange is stunning!

The QBs wear it for spring, but I’d like to see the whole team in that combo.
The white pants and jerseys could use a little more purple too. For example 2 purple stripes on the white pants, matching the helmets, with an orange stripe in the middle. Maybe make the Nike swoosh purple too. Nothing drastic, just a little more purple accents.

I think, to your point, it's interesting how many of the "blue bloods" have had such timeless uniforms for so long. Maybe it's just a side effect?
Still, not wrong in most cases, but putting Oregon at #1 and so many non-blue-bloods (like us) in there makes it just a fun little subjective article to me. I'm glad we're up there!

but Oregon's uniforms (all of them) are hideous. How many jerseys do they actually have?
1 - Black with green
2 - Black with gold
3 - Black with silver
4 - Black with white trimmed in green
5 - Gold with black
6 - Gold with green
7 - Gold with gray
8 - White with green
9 - White with black
10 - White with gray
11 - Green with gold
12 - Green with neon green
13 - Green with silver
14 - Gray with with silver trimmed in gold
15 - Gray with silver trimmed in green
16 - Gray with gold

Great list you made with a great point, but it kinda coincides with theirs: "Oregon might be the only Power 5 team in the country where their uniforms are the first thing that come to mind when you think of their football program."
I don't love their colors (& I'm sure many don't love purple and orange, FWIW), but we certainly do pay more attention to more Oregon unis than anywhere else. Fun little article, nothing more.

I agree, but they're gonna be incredibly fun to watch again this year. I think the sport at-large is desperately craving a team from the PAC12 to be elite again & for the first time since the CFP started.

Not sure who voted on that but who cares?! I LOVE our uniforms and think there isn’t a better one in all of college football. NOTHING beats Tiger orange on the field or screen. The purple on military appreciation day has to make other schools jealous. Couldnt be more appropriate. And the Paw definitely sets it all
off. We are blessed to have a university that looks and plays like champions!

I don't really have a problem where we fall, it's so subjective. I respect Pedo State, Oklahoma, and Alabama keeping their traditional look, however, they are also the most vanilla uniforms in the country. Also, is Oregon proud to be know for their unis rather than their play?

Classics are cool but an update every now and again ain't a bad thing.
Personally, I'd love it if the Clemson pants with the orange stripes had purple accent them so it wasn't a 'Bama look with Clemson colors

Penn State and Bammer’s unis are boring as H3ll.
Oklahoma drops spots recently due to their newer cream-colored unis. I like the clean, crisp white. That’s a great look! The cream ones look like they need to be washed again with bleach. NOT GOOD!

The first time I saw Clemson on tv. I was in love with the Paw on the shoulders. The orange was just different from all the others. I love the fact that All orange is for special games. Makes the players earn the right to wear Champion colors.

That said, even with iconic paw, the ratings seem fine and about right to me. Interestingly, many of the top-ranked uniforms are traditional.
I my humble opinion, Clemson could add a little more pop and tradition in uniform design and keep it Tiger classy. I'd like to see what our creative Tigers have to say. My $0.02.

Sometimes I think we deliberately try not to have fun when looking at Clemson in the sea of all other programs out there.
We're ranked 11th, which is high enough to be happy about, and they even said our logo was the best in the game. It's fun & goofy, nothing more, but not worth anything other than enjoying outright, know what I mean?

Clemson is the only team in the sport that has a stripe on the helmet painted on rather than a decal. I just always thought that was an interesting part of Clemson uniforms & it didn't make the article.

I agree with the more purple people. As far as the Top Ten, that’s mostly based on the success of the teams. The only thing remarkable about Alabama and Penn State uniforms is that they are unremarkable. Our logo is one of the best along with Florida State’s.

I like just about any combinations as long our team wins. Orange is the primary color but looks good with some purple and I agree with the all purple for military appreciation.
