Checking in.

Been gone for a while. No particular reason, I guess we had a bunch of turnover at work and subconsciously maybe I thought I should be more productive….

Saw that $2.99 Tigernet subscription charge hit the account and decided to log on and cancel the premium membership. Decided to drop you all a line.

Things have been good.
I threw out the pocketpussy. I became deathly afraid that my kids would find it and permanently alter their entire future.
I did lose a crap ton of weight. Got down to 200 (from nearly 240). Probably back up to about 220 now since I quit counting calories.

I planted over 200 mater plants this year. During peak season I was picking about 200lbs a week (approximately). We canned all of them and should have enough spaghetti sauce, vegetable soup, Bloody Mary mix, and salsa to carry us into the next decade. Also canned 75qts of greens. My Uber-garden has occupied much of my summer.

Sucks about Jimmy Herring getting sick. Selfishly, I’m sad about the Asheville shows getting nixed this weekend, but bro and I are still going to Asheville. Gonna do some kayaking and beer drinking and have a good ol’ time with some old friends.

Wife and I have sexed 5 nights in a row. Not sure what that’s all about, but I know better than to look a gifted horse in the mouth.

I hit the lotto for Monday practice round masters tickets the other day, so I got that going for me as well.

All this politics stuff is wild AF.

I ate at Scott’s BBQ a few weeks back. It was pretty awesome.

Oh, here’s a funny story to end on:
We were at Myrtle beach two weeks ago (it was a work trip for me, so the wife, kids, and my sons friend tagged along).
One evening, the two boys (13yrs old) and I were surf fishing. Two teenaged girls approached and watched from a distance. My son reeled in to check his bait and the girls approached. I stepped away to let the boys *cook*. The girls chatted them up and then asked for the boys numbers. My son said , “I have a girlfriend, and we’re just focused on fishing right now.” His friend said, “yea, we’re not interested in beach girls, we’re trying to fish and enjoy some quiet.” Loooolllllssss. That’s some funny crap. The girls were cute too…. That’s some crazy genZ redpill shizz. Love it. Then the girls made some smartazz comment about how they hadn’t caught any decent fish. Son replied, “ well clearly you know nothing about fishing. It’s not about CATCHiNG fish, it’s about getting outside with the boys and putting in time.”

He’s gonna be a rich man one day if he keeps that mindset, but I may not have any grandkids
