Haven't poasted here since back when 300+ would log into TAC for big games on Big Daddy PBP. The time we had coots believing we were down 14-0 to Coastal in the first inning of a game that hadn't actually begun still brings a smile to my face, and I retain many fond memories of not only those days, but of countless football Saturdays spent in and around Death Valley since I was a kid.
Fandom therefore established, I am unabashed to say that while I'm not necessarily offended by the vacuous, one-word slogans our players are wearing in place of their names, it does make me doubt their commitment to the sense of self-responsiblity Dabo has always sought to instill in his guys. I mean, you can set yourself out to be some Julius Johnson 'Justice' or Tyler T. 'Equity' or Uguaaleile 'Unity' or whatever, but in the end, it's your character that matters, not your jersey-worn bumper sticker.
That said and diatribe over, congrats to our Tigers on another great win, and congrats to the Hoos for putting up a good fight, and for having the plain-sense audacity to wear names on their jerseys.
