He’s not wrong. Dabo’s way worked pre NIL and portal. It doesn’t work now nor have the bad hires. Realistically we’ve been downhill for years. IMHO we also can't compete with SEC/B1G tv money and we’re too small for a real NIL fund.

To me it's not necessarily his NIL/Portal approach, but his poor coaching hires and lack of development of the players on the roster. It was a joy to watch a player like Nuk or Grady Jarrett come in and develop into a superstar.
Our DLine has several seniors or 4 year players and they got dominated by Louisville's back up O-line.
We'd probably benefit from portal players, but we've been killed by hiring/promoting Austin, Grisham, Lemanski, and Goodwin.

Well said. We have the athletes to compete.
Not win championships like we're used to or anything, but for sure compete.

Where a lot of the people who keep writing 5-6 figure IPTAY checks for sweet parking and games as a social event and have a Dabo altar in their home start not feeling guilty if they wonder if he’s earning his salary.
Also a point where the media might actually start feeling empowered to ask the emperor if he’s wearing clothes or not instead of the yuk-yuk “you da man!” Press interactions we have been accustomed to.
I’m not saying Rome is burning, but it’s getting hard to deny there’s some smoke building.

They got an earful from me about All the requests from Iptay, collectives asking for mo’ money while athletes are making big $$$$ and we still paying for their schollies and in the meantime regular non-athlete students are getting the shaft with higher & higher costs!

Just look at our roster, it will tell you everything you need to know about Dabo’s priority w his football program- it’s not winning championships, that much is obvious.
