I now have have none of that.

In the days when I learned to fish, high tech was cane poles cut back and joints added so they were not as much a problem hanging out the '53 Chevy window.

Make no mistake, we often headed out on Saturday mornings with poles hanging out the windows.
Mom packed up very tasty food, and Pop knew where to cast a line depending on ??.
It was incredible fun.
My family often shared fun on the rivers.

I now understand that catching fish was not the deal (but we did).
Do families still fish? Do families still exist? Do they go fishing together?

My boat is very old, and most laugh at him. A year back 'HARVEY' had the latest and best $$ high teck electronics. That all burned (but not 'HARVEY'). When the lake rises and Harvey again floats (it always does), he will be blind. Will I be able to still catch a fish? Does that matter as long as I can go fishing?

I catch fish without electronics. Lots and lots of different species. Salt or fresh. All different ecosystems. I have a family. My family fishes with me and they catch fish too. All hope is not lost.
