A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
Unless it isn’t a rose, in which case there’s no way it can make a case that it somehow smells more correctly rosy than the roses do. In fact, the more strenuously a non-rose tries to make the case that it’s either an actual rose or somehow better than 98.5% of all other roses, the more it’s aroma becomes a stench.

It’s simple really. In this particular situation, You understand and accept that the state of the program isn’t great and doesn’t seem to be getting better.
Coaches can’t get a handle on their players (Shipley) and the head coach instead of trying to unite the fan base during times of adversity is trying to divide it even more.

So are you saying that Dabo doesn't engage in coach speak or are you saying that when he has made these comments recently that he stopped the coach speak and spoke the truth? Because, surely, you are not saying he always speaks the truth and never engages in coach speak. That would be absurd. So then, we just have to believe that the coach speak suddenly ended and we now are debating the truth, which still seems odd, but more possible.

Talking “to” coots implies a modicum of understanding that coots do not possess.
Talking “at” coots is more accurate. Talking at coots is a complete waste of time, but it’s descriptively accurate.

Fans want Dabo to get up there and bash his team and staff on national media. Its pitiful they want that kind of behavior from a guy whos a leader of young men. Dabo has taken blame on himself plenty of times, some fans just dont get it. The reason Dabo has been able to recruit at a high level is bc he does not blast his players and coaches, hes shown loyalty(to a fault i will admit) if you take that away you kill a huge selling point and the negative recruiting ramps up from competitors. Handle that kind of stuff behind closed doors its not the worlds buisness.

We don’t want him to bash players, but we also don’t want him lying about them. For example:
Last year, he said the QB room was the best he’s ever had. Ridiculous statement that clearly wasn’t true.
This year, he said our WRs are the fastest we’ve ever had. Also patently false.
There are countless other examples of Dabo being over the top in what he says, to the point that he’s engaging in lying and falsehoods.

Dabo is a great coach and even a better man of great character however, he was a great salesman before coaching. He can’t publicly bash his players or coaches, including the ones he hired. Is he perfect, no .. no one is ..

I really have no problem with what Dabo recently said. What I do get tired of is the BS Coach talk. Telling us how great some walk-on or 0 - 2 star player is. I'd really rather he kept his comments limited and let the teams on the field and in the classroom performance speak for itself.

It is on his watch! He gets paid to have or get the answers. Feels like 2010 is honest, but sobering. It begs the question of how Clemson got to this point. That was 13 years ago! Maybe, Dabo needs to compare and contrast the two years and figure it out?
