And knew about/sanctioned the attack and Israel or we can prove it, clearly that's an act of war and Israel has the right to respond in kind.
What does the board think the United States should do if Israel goes full send on Iran?

Maybe. I am no expert on the subject but I think its general knowledge hat Iran is a sponsor of terrorism and especially Hamas. Its pretty reasonable to consider them a suspect.

I can't see any good answer here.
Is there any scenario where Israel strikes Iran and all heck does NOT break out? With a desperate Russia and China "more" involved in the region, that adds another unpredictable dimension to the whole thing.
But what I do know is that this is a case study on why Iran can't get nukes, under any circumstances.

Absolutely nothing. Iran's needed dealing with for some time...before they field nukes. If Israel wants the job, let them have at it.
I honestly wonder if we're about to see an alliance of highly unlikely bedfellows. Israel and Saudi Arabia both have serious beef with Iran...and while the old guard of the Saudis still hiss and spit at the Jews because of religious convictions the latest gen - which includes Bin Salman - very much have beef with the Iranians and it would not shock me in the slightest if the two got together and solved their problem once and for all.
If I was Iran I'd be a little uneasy right now.

Send them a large thank you. For those who think the Iranians can be trusted to be deterred from using nukes should they acquire them, this should be a wake up call once and for all what Radical Islamists are willing to do despite the consequences of their actions.
Dealing with Russia, China and even North Korea will prove to be a cake walk compared to a nuclear armed Iran.
I'm fine with Israel doing whatever they need to do to secure their future though in the short term things could get quite dicey.
Iran will not be any easier to deal with in the future as long as the Muslim nut jobs are running the show. Unfortunately, it may well be too late to stop Iran from acquiring nukes.

Not if Israel and Saudi together - both of whom stand to be the first targets of those nukes should Iran acquire them - decide to end that threat now, before it can metastasize.
I think they well could. Given everything we've seen over the years from Iran, does anyone think either nation is at all comfortable letting Iran develop the bomb?

send weaponry to Israel to help bolster their effort abroad, and likely some troops to help protect their homefront while they confronted Iran.
I wouldn't put it past Saudi Arabia to join in such an effort in Iran either. It could be the opportunity they've been looking for.
Our role would be first and foremost to protect Israel here, however there is a line we don't need to cross as Israel hasn't exactly been a model global citizen of late. Joining in an invasion of Iran would cross that line, and likely embolden China in their view of Taiwan. Best to keep this small state for now with tactical local support.
