Let me start off by saying that Saturday night still stings. I would definitely put that game in my top 5 most painful losses of all time. We were the better team for 60+ minutes and outplayed them in their house, but in the end, we self destructed.
I've been on here and there's a lot of gloom and doom and everyone is understandably still upset over the outcome Saturday night. It was a tough loss, but our season isn't over and we're just gonna have to get over this one and move on. We can run the table, end the season with a W over the chickens, and get a decent bowl bid. Things we'll see as this season progresses:
-Watson will continue to get better every week and I'm sure that the coaching staff will put in extra hours to get him comfortable taking a snap under center. It's hard not to get excited knowing that this young man will be running our offense over the next few years. -We have young WRs that will also continue to improve as the season rolls on. Scott has shown he can be dynamic and McCullough will be a force to be reckoned with at TE. -Our D played with a lot of heart Saturday night and they're going to get better each week.
We've got to keep our heads and rally around this team. This can still be a good season and I see much brighter days ahead.
