One of three 5-star-rated defensive tackles in the nation included Clemson in his top-5 schools on Monday.
Honolulu, Hawaii’s Faatui Tuitele, who is rated as a 5-star by the 247Sports Composite, has the Tigers in a group with Alabama, Washington, Texas and Ohio State. Tuitele visited Clemson last June and left with an offer. "First of all I just want to thank GOD for everything that He has done for me! I am not worthy of these blessings yet He bestows them upon me," Tuitele posted on Twitter. "He has been with me through it all. I also want to thank my parents and family for being there to support me through my good and bad times! They are my motivation to wake up everyday and to be the best person I can be. I hope I can repay them one day. "I want to thank all my friends, supporters, teachers, coaches, whoever helped me to get where I am today. I would be nothing without your help. For that, I am forever grateful. Lastly, I want to thank all the colleges that have recruited me through this process and given me a chance to further my education and athletics in the future." He visited Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio State, LSU and Southern Cal this spring. Tuitele told 247Sports that Clemson defensive tackles coach Todd Bates flew out to see him for spring ball and that he intends to take five official visits before a potential decision before his senior season. TOP 5 IS HERE.. Please respect my decision. No interviews at this time. To God Be the Glory. pic.twitter.com/ZptMOwnAvH
