Clemson commitment Brandon Ellerbe may end up at UNC

Clemson commitment Brandon Ellerbe, a 6-foot, 203-pound defensive back out of Wadesboro, is still hoping to be a Tiger, but circumstances might force him to follow his mother to Chapel Hill.

Reports came out on Sunday night that Ellerbe’s mother might be moving to Chapel Hill, and Ellerbe said that the potential move might force him to change his plans.

"I don't know what I'm going to do and I don’t know when we will know," he said Monday afternoon. "If I stay at Anson with my aunt, I'll be going to Clemson. If I move with my mom to near Chapel Hill, I'm going to North Carolina. Overall, I still might be going to Clemson. But right now, I am still committed to Clemson.

Ellerbe, who also has offers from Maryland, Texas Tech and Duke, said Sunday night that he was expecting Clemson coach Dan Brooks to be at the school on Monday, but said Monday afternoon that he hasn’t seen or talked to Brooks today.
