Johnson discusses his first time meeting Swinney

by - Assoc. Editor -

Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson was on his weekly call-in show on Monday night and discussed the first meeting he had with Dabo Swinney after he was named Clemson's interim head coach in 2008.

"He was really kind of funny," Johnson said. "We were at midfield talking and I'll never forget he walked up and he goes," 'What am I supposed to do?' I said, Just walk around and act like you know what's going on.' He kind of laughed. We became pretty good friends after that."

Swinney has a 78-27 record at Clemson and a 4-5 record against Paul Johnson including Georgia Tech's vacated win in the 2009 ACC Championship game.
