Jenkins suffers season-ending injury

Jenkins was scheduled for an early morning MRI and shared the news on Twitter. “Redskin fans thanks for the support I love you all . . . unfortunately it is a ACL tear. . . .”

The second-round pick out of Clemson had been among the most impressive rookies this preseason and was expected to be a key contributor on the Redskins’ revamped defensive line. He started his second preseason game Thursday night but didn’t last long.

Jenkins was hurt in the first quarter while trying to make a tackle on Baltimore's Ray Rice.
