Tommy Bowden Press Conference, Windows Media, (9:52)

Quick notes and quotes from Tommy Bowden's Sunday phone session with the media:

- Playing four freshman on the offensive line and they got a lot of work which is what they need.

- On the OL ... “We not where we need to be to play in the conference but we are closer than we were last week.”

- Report on Ricky Sapp’s injury on Monday.

- On the defense ...

“We need to get a little more production from the guys that have been here. (Dorell) Scott, (Miguel) Chavis, Jarvis Jenkins, those guys. We really miss Rashaad (Jackson). I didn’t quite know how much we would miss him. He is a little bit quicker than the other guys we have in there.”

"We got to find a way to generate some pressure on the quarterback. We had no sacks versus Alabama and one versus the Citadel. One three and out versus Alabama and two versus the Citadel. Obviously we are going to have to be more productive in that area.”

"We’re still playing too high at linebackers, defensive ends, and defensive line. They are all playing too high. We are not a very fundamentally sound football team right now up there are those three positions. So we have got to work hard on that this week as we get into conference play."

- On Cullen Harper... "There are a lot of guys that need to play better and he would be one of them."
