View Full Profile has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the third time this season, while Miami's E.J. Encinosa earned Pitcher of the Week honors.

Shaffer had at least two hits in all five of Clemson's games last week and went 12-for-21 (.571) with seven RBIs and three steals. The Charlotte, N.C., junior also totaled one homer, one double, four runs, three walks, a .600 on-base percentage, and did not commit an error in 13 chances at third base to help the Tigers to four wins. In Clemson's three-game sweep at Duke over the weekend, he was 7-for-13 (.538) with three RBIs and two steals. On the season, he is hitting .365 with seven homers, 12 doubles, one triple, 31 RBIs, 27 runs, 31 walks, a .493 on-base percentage, and five steals in 32 games (32 starts).

Encinosa pitched six perfect innings of relief for the Hurricanes, retiring all 18 batters he faced in a 4-3 walk-off win over No. 3 North Carolina on Saturday night. The Miami native, who was moved from the rotation into the bullpen, needed only 75 pitches to set down every batter he faced from the ninth through the 14th innings, earning the win as the Hurricanes prevailed on a solo home run in the bottom of the 14th. The junior's winning pitching effort helped Miami secure a three-game series sweep over an opponent ranked as high as third nationally for the first time in 11 years and take over first place in the Coastal Division at the midway point of the ACC season.
