Through seven games last year, Ellington ranked 10th in the nation in scoring with 12 touchdowns and had four 100-yard rushing games, including 22 carries for 140 yards against eventual national champion Auburn. Coach Dabo Swinney called Ellington's return as important as any aspect of our football team."
