Transfer target to announce this month

Alabama wing graduate transfer and Columbia native Tevin Mack told The State this week that he is planning to make his decision commitment this month.

Mack has already visited Clemson and he is slated to visit Oregon coming up. He told The State that if he indeed did pick the Tigers then he would look to enroll ahead of the team's trip to the World University Games in Italy this summer.

“They (Clemson) were in my top five and took official visit there in high school,” Mack told The State “Me and coach Brownell got a good relationship from high school. He recruited me heavily. It gives them an advantage over most schools. Facilities up there really got better since I was there last time. Littlejohn [Coliseum] is renovated out.

“But those things aren’t important. I want to go to a place to showcase my skills and be a leader, and Clemson does give me a chance to do that.”

Mack is looking for his third school after a coaching change at Alabama. He started his college career at Texas.

Mack averaged nine points and 3.3 rebounds last year and posted 14.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in his last season with Texas.
