Rayburn on Clemson: 'There's just nothing like it'

Four-star offensive line prospect Hunter Rayburn signed with the Tigers on Wednesday, one of six signees from Florida on the day.

Rayburn grew up a Florida fan but there was just something different about Clemson.

"When you see it, there are lakes everywhere. You're only 30 minutes from Greenville, an hour and a half from Atlanta, but when you're on campus, it's like you are in your own little world," Rayburn told the Pensacola News Journal. "But after going there, you meet the people. .. you meet everyone there. And there's just nothing like it.

"Clemson, by far, is one of the best places in college football to go play."

Rayburn told the outlet that school has a plan in place for a watch party for the early enrollees, who arrive on Jan. 6, for the Jan. 7 national title game - should Clemson make it.

"Just knowing that's in your future, you are going to come in and work hard and it's really cool," Rayburn said.

Rayburn is being targeted for a role as a center with the Tigers.
