
Clemson signees earn All-State honors |

A number of Tigers earned first-team All-State honors for Florida this week.
Clemson wide receiver signee Frank Ladson and defensive tackle signee Tyler Davis were tabbed All-State first-team in Florida for Class 8A. Ladson posted 50 receptions for 1,133 yards and 13 touchdowns, setting a school record for receiving yards. He averaged 22.9 yards reception over the last two seasons. Davis tallied 14 tackles for loss and six sacks as a senior at Wekiva (Fla.). Another Class 8A standout who has Clemson on top of his list joined Ladson in 2020 running back Jaylan Knighton. He rushed for over 2,000 yards with 28 touchdowns last season. Four-star offensive lineman signee Will Putnam earned first-team honors for Class 7A. In Class 6A, Chez Mellusi picked up first-team honors after rushing for 1,819 yards with 21 touchdowns.
