Clemson LB commits named Butkus Award semifinalists

Clemson commits Sergio Allen (Peach County HS, Ga.) and Kevin Swint (Carrollton HS, Ga.) have been named semifinalists for the Butkus Award, which is given to the nation's top linebacker.

Going into last week, Allen has totaled 13 tackles for loss in 63 total stops, with three sacks and an interception (per Maxpreps).

Allen and Peach County (Ga.) play next at Westside (Ga.), while Swint and Carrollton take on Hiram (Ga.) on Friday.

Clemson target and 5-star prospect Justin Flowe also made the list, who is rated the No. 1 inside linebacker in the nation and slated to visit for the Clemson-Wake Forest game.
