He plays for Phoebus(HS) which is the same school that former Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd attended. Robinson tweeted in April that Clemson was "a dream offer I had since i was like 6." As a sophomore, he was named first team All-Region defensive back and punt returner. His stats for the season on defense were 80 tackles, 4 sacks, and 4 interceptions. On offense, he had over 200 yards and a touchdown and on special teams he had a remarkable seven touchdowns - five kickoff returns and two on punt returns. He has offers from Akron, Clemson, Duke, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Old Dominion, Penn State, Southern Mississippi, Temple, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and others.
