Trevor Lawrence record-breaking high school run ends in playoffs
Trevor Lawrence’s record-breaking high school career came to a close Friday night in the second round of the Georgia 4A playoffs.
Lawrence had led Cartersville (11-1) on a remarkable run, with 41-straight wins and back-to-back state titles, but a late score from Blessed Trinity (10-2) sprung the road upset in a 21-17 decision.
The five-star prospect threw 41 touchdown passes to one interception as a senior with over 3,000 passing yards (3,296).
Lawrence broke a pair of Deshaun Watson state records this season, in all-time passing yards (13,908) and touchdowns (161).
He is set to enroll early at Clemson and will take his official visit for Saturday’s game with The Citadel.
And just like that it’s over.. an amazing 4 years with my brothers.
