2019 3-star Wake Forest, N.C. linebacker Drake Thomas included Clemson in his top schools list revealed Monday night.

Thomas has the Tigers in a top-8 group with NC State, Alabama, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech, Tennessee and Charlotte.

Clemson offered last August and Thomas visited for the Florida State game last season. He returned to campus for Elite Junior Day in January.

Thomas is rated as high as the No. 12 linebacker in the 2019 class.

He posted 112 tackles and three interceptions at Heritage (N.C.) last season.

Thomas’ brother, Thayer, is a redshirt freshman receiver at NC State, where Drake has made multiple visits - including the spring game in April.

Clemson has two 2019 linebacker commits on board in 3-stars Keith Maguire (Malvern, Pa.) and Bryton Constantin (Baton Rouge, La.).
