Following Friday’s game, North mentioned North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee as schools recruiting him the hardest. His father, Ramondo North, also mentioned Ohio State but cautioned that distance could play a factor in his son's decision. North received his Clemson offer on December 5th, 2011 and took an unofficial visit to the Elite Junior Day in Clemson on Jan. 2012. His Clemson's recruiter of record is Danny Pearman. Marquez North

told ESPN that he is just concentrating on his senior season and has pretty much put his recruiting on the back burner.
“I am still not into the recruiting thing,” North said. “I am just trying to get better with my teammates and work on the season. I have not even decided yet on any official visits. It has been a while since I spoke to a college coach. I cannot even remember.”
