The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association presents the Mr. Football award to the top back and lineman in five classifications and also recognizes the state's top kicker. The awards are based on nominations from coaches and media members from across the state, with a media committee selecting the finalists and winners.

Brentwood Academy has two of the DII-AA lineman finalists -- Woody Baron and Graham Shuler Graham Shuler
