He had other offers from Alabama, BC, Clemson, Georgia, Louisville, Miami, Miss. State, NC State, Purdue, and South Carolina.

As a junior, Lambert passed 143-275 for 1,991 yards and 28 touchdowns and also had two rushing touchdowns. Took an unofficial visit to Clemson for the 2010 North Texas game and was also at the 2011 Clemson spring game. Attended two UGA camps in 2010. National Underclassmen Ultimate 100 Camp Southeast Quarterback MVP (Atlanta, June 2010). National Underclassmen Top Prospect Camp Quarterback MVP (Oklahoma, July 2010). Quarterback MVP at Coastal Carolina University Camp (June 2010). Both of his parents went to college at Auburn. AJC top 10 prospect in the state.
