James Davis may have been a slight lean to Clemson over Virginia Tech going into his visit to Alabama last weekend. Davis had a great visit with the Crimson Tide, and the Tide now may be the team to beat.
"It was a great visit to Alabama. It went well with the coaches and players. I did not commit. I will still take my official visit to Clemson on January 14."
Runnings back coach Burton Burns has done a great job to keep Clemson in the ballpark with Davis. Today, Davis received phone calls from Tommy Bowden, Rob Spence, and Burns.
"It went well today. Coach Burns was telling me about my visit and how it will go. Coach Spence was telling me how they were going to run the ball in his system, and how they would use me. I liked what he had to say."
Duane Coleman will be the player host for Davis this weekend.
