Clemson jumped into the mix for perennial Playoff rival Alabama's top committed prospect for 2020.

St. Frances (Md.) defensive end Chris Braswell announced a Clemson offer on Tuesday. He is rated as the No. 1 WDE in the 247Sports Composite rankings for 2020.

"Blessed to receive an offer from Clemson University," Braswell posted on Twitter.

Braswell was named a Maxpreps All-American with 12 sacks, three forced fumbles and a fumble touchdown return as a junior.

Braswell committed to Alabama on Nov. 25, 2018 after a visit for Auburn-Alabama weekend. He is also committed for the Under Armour All-American game.
