In 2013, he was named Max Preps Freshman All-American 1st Team QB and All District 3A quarterback. He finished the season with 169-333 for 2758 yards passing with 28 passing touchdowns and 17 interceptions.

He was the first freshman starter for his high school team since 1991. They finished the season with a 10-2 record.

The elite 2017 prospect is very accurate passing on the run and is very quick and agile in the open field.

One of teams that he liked growing up was Tennessee.
