Arik Gilbert announced a Clemson offer Friday morning.
Gilbert is rated as the No. 1 athlete in the country by 247Sports with offers nationwide from Alabama to Southern Cal and Michigan to Miami. “VERY Blessed to receive an offer from CLEMSON University,” Gilbert posted. As a receiver, Gilbert totaled 54 catches for 570 yards and seven touchdowns last season. At defensive end, Gilbert tallied 62 tackles, nine for loss, with six sacks. He is committed to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Gilbert was a standout performer during Dabo Swinney's summer camp in 2017.
