The 6-4 SG has early offers from Clemson, Miami(OH), Samford and Western Kentucky. He took an unofficial visit to Clemson on 8/25/14.

Broughton averaged 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals for the Derby State Throroughbreds. For North Laurel, he averaged 10 points last season. He has been to the Jr. All-American camp, Blue Chip Basketball Camp, Elite Hoops Showcase, and the NOLA Primetime Super 60 event.

An interesting tidbit is his nickname given to him by his basketball coach is Gremlin.
