Spence finished his senior season hitting on 15 of 18 field goals and 36 of 37 on extra points.

He attended the Dabo Swinney football camp in June 2013 and was very impressive in the kicking drills. He was offered at the camp and committed. As a junior, he was 11 for 13 on field goals and 40 yards per punt average.
