From Michael Carvell of AJC:
When asked if Clemson was in the running, Lawson replied, “Yes, I guess they are. They are.” “The positives about Clemson are the proximity, it’s a winning tradition and good program, and there’s the chance to play early. The negatives? I played in the ACC but right now the buzz is about the SEC. That may be an advantage some of the other schools have on Clemson.” The other schools include Tennessee and Auburn. Lawson will go to Tennessee on Friday and is tentatively scheduled to travel to Auburn on Jan. 25. There’s also the possibility of a midweek visit to North Carolina at some point. “No, this is not going all the way until signing day,” said Lawson, who played football at Georgia Tech. “I can’t give you a date but it’s not going until then (Feb. 6).”
“I think he had fun, I think it went OK,” Lawson said.
