2019 five-star Bellflower, California cornerback Chris Steele announced a Clemson offer on Thursday.

Steele is rated as high as the No. 2 cornerback in the nation out of St. John Bosco (Calif.), where he is a teammate with another Clemson target in 3-star LB Spencer Lytle.

"THIS IS BIG... I AM VERY THANKFUL TO HAVE RECEIVED AN OFFER FROM CLEMSON! THANK YOU COACH REED!!" Steele posted on Twitter.

Steele has visits scheduled for Miami and Southern Cal in June and he recently visited Florida, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas A&M and LSU. He also holds offers from Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, UCLA, Notre Dame, Texas, and Arizona State among more Power 5 offers.

He tallied 73 tackles with two interceptions as a junior.

Steele told USA TODAY that he plans on committing after The Opening Finals in July and before his senior season.
