2019 Lawrenceville, Georgia four-star safety Jalyn Phillips announced a Clemson offer on Wednesday evening.
Phillips spent the day at Dabo Swinney's Clemson camp and recently placed the Tigers in a top-5 with Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Southern Cal. "Extremely Blessed to have received an offer from Clemson University!" Phillips posted. Phillips told TigerNet before the visit Wednesday what set Clemson apart to him. "The atmosphere there is incredible!" he said. "I have good relationship with all coaches! Coach Venables shows so much passion in running the defense that it gives me goosebumps. They are another program that stays in the winning column.” Phillips is rated as high as a 4-star prospect on ESPN and the No. 24 safety in the nation. He will announce a commitment on August 20. He posted 58 tackles with an interception last season. Extremely Blessed to have received an offer from Clemson University! #We2deep19 ?? pic.twitter.com/5DcfPu8Bte
