Four star wide receiver T.J. Chase out of Bradenton (FLA) IMG Academy has committed to Clemson on an unofficial visit this weekend. He and his two teammates came down from Florida to take part in Clemson's Elite Junior Day.
Chase is a major get for the Tigers as he adds a weapon for the 2016 class and out of the hand of the Florida State Seminoles (high on his list). The high-caliber prospect will bring a big-play ability along with his shiftiness, impressive agility, quickness and plays with a high level of toughness. He had offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, FIU, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, South Florida, Temple, Tennessee, UCF, Virginia Tech and others. As a junior, he had 25 catches for 521 yards and five touchdowns. As a sophomore, he had 28 receptions for 562 yards and 4 touchdowns. On defense, he had 43 tackles and 3 interceptions.
