Clemson went into the Lone Star State to offer one of Texas’ top-rated 2019 defensive linemen.
Judson (Tx.) defensive end DeMarvin Leal announced an offer from Clemson on social media Monday. Leal told TigerNet that Clemson had been in contact for a couple months before defensive line coach Todd Bates delivered the offer this week. The 6-foot-4 and 275-pound prospect said it meant "a lot" to him. “I really like the way the team plays,” Leal said, “and how physical and much love (they) put into the game.” Rated as high as the No. 109 prospect overall for 2019, Leal lists offers from Power 5 schools such as Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas, Tennessee, Michigan, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State and Baylor. Eyeing an official visit to Clemson down the road, Leal said the Tigers’ offer is making him rethink his current top schools' list. Leal tallied 66 tackles, 14 for loss with two sacks, as a junior. He has been invited to the Under Armour All-American game. Extremely blessed nd excited to have my 12th offer from The University Of Clemson #GoTigers ???? pic.twitter.com/WlXkUJqyVS
