has committed to Clemson while on an unofficial visit on Saturday. He held his commitment until this week but had been favoring the Tigers and almost pulled the trigger after a visit to the Clemson-N.C. State game.

Cooper is one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks for the 2016 recruiting class. This will more than likely be the only quarterback take for Clemson for 2016. Clemson offered on 3/27/14.

He had offers from Clemson, Kentucky, Miami, Mississippi, Nebraska, N.C. State, Ohio State, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

He participated in the 2014 Dabo Swinney football camp and showed off a strong arm with impressive physical tools.

As a junior, Cooper threw for 1,200 yards on 83 of 156 passing with six touchdowns. As a sophomore, he had 2,200 yards and 23 touchdowns and also rushed for 404 yards and 11 more scores.

He suffered an ACL injury prior to his senior season and has been rehabbing the injury and will be ready to go for Clemson his freshman year.

TigerNet was able to speak to Cooper and a full story to come shortly.
