4-star offensive lineman John Simpson from Fort Dorchester, S.C. visited Clemson for its Junior Day over the weekend.
TigerNet spoke with Simpson on Sunday morning and he said "The visit was great! Some of the things that made it great were the coaching staff, the fans and the Clemson players!" He wanted to give a shout-out to specific members of the Clemson coaching staff. "Coach Elliot, Coach Scott, Coach Swinney and me had a nice conversation. Coach (Durrell) Barry that guy is hilarious!" He also said that he forged friendships with Clemson offensive lineman targets - Clark Yarbrough and Parker Boudreaux and Clemson commit Sean Pollard. Simpson has offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Louisville, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Wake Forest. The State's top offensive lineman said that Clemson is his new leader at this time. "They are my new leader but I'm going on more visits so I can really determine who the real leaders are." He said they he plans to take visits to Clemson, LSU, Mississippi State and Tennessee. Those four schools are his top group of schools at this moment.
