McMichael had early offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, UCLA, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, and others. The 6-1, 196-pound athlete announced his commitment via Twitter early Friday morning. "All Thanks and Glory be to God. I feel truly blessed for this opportunity," McMichael said via Twitter. " I would also like to express appreciation towards my mom, dad and sister for their support, guidance, and direction, they've always challenged me to be my best! I'd like to give thanks to all of my coaches, teachers and extend family members for their support and assistance in developing me to become a better young man, student, and athlete! Id' like to say thanks to every university that offered me the opportunity to attend their fine institution and continue my growth as a young man, student and athlete. The opportunity to play college football at the highest level has always been a goal of mine. I'm very fortunate and blessed t have the opportunity to fulfill my dream and receive a first class education. After several months of soul searching, long talks with my parents, careful analysis, and prayer I've come to the conclusion that the best place for me to continue my progression as a young man, student athlete and my spiritual connection with God is with the reigning National Champs. I am now official committed to Clemson University. All In." In 2016, he rushed for 1,416 yards with 14 touchdowns last season. He has taken a few visits to TigerTown including Clemson's dominating 54-0 win against Syracuse last season. Committed!!
