Taylor County (Ga.) four-star 2018 all-purpose back Lyn-J Dixon signed with Clemson Wednesday, picking the Tigers over Oklahoma State.
Dixon rushed for over 5,000 yards in four seasons at Taylor County, posting 88 total touchdowns. He made his official visit to Clemson on the weekend of The Citadel game and made the trip to Oklahoma State last weekend. More on Dixon... Lyn-J Dixon - 4-star APB - Taylor County (Ga.) Commit since: 12/20/17 Recruiter: Tony Elliott Listed size: 5-10.5 178 Brings to Clemson: Dixon's acceleration and cuts made him dangerous as a running back and as a returner for Taylor County. His ability to run through attempted tackles makes him that much more of a big-play threat. Dixon had runs of 99 and 97 yards in his sophomore and junior seasons, and his best yards per carry average (8.9) came in his senior campaign, where he posted 11 touchdowns in six games. Depth chart fit: If the roster holds season-to-season, all four of Clemson's running back rotation will return, and with two seniors slated to move on after 2018, a redshirt could make sense here. Etienne's breakout freshman campaign, however, shows how a strong camp can influence that decision. Number to know: 194.6 - Dixon's average all-purpose yards per game over four years at Taylor County. I’m ALL IN ????
