CLEMSON — Clemson’s Walker Course was ranked 14th on Golfweek’s Best Campus Course list this year. Clemson is the only new addition to the list this year.

“This recognition confirms the hard work and dedication that our board, management team and staff members have had to provide our golfers with one of the best university golf facilities in the country,” said Brent Jessup, head golf professional at the Walker Course. “We have worked hard to gain and maintain a local and regional reputation as a quality golf facility, and now this ranking moves us onto the ‘national’ scene. We look forward to staying on this list for many years to come.”

The course measures 6,911 yards from the tiger tees and 5,935 yards from the white tees. It offers a full-service driving range, putting green, chipping green, fully stocked pro shop, The Clubhouse Grill, a staff of PGA professionals, group lessons, clinics and individual instruction. The last five holes are situated along the shores of Hartwell Lake and include the signature Tiger Paw 17th hole.

The Walker Course was designed by D.J. DeVito and opened in 1995. It is open to the public; no affiliation with Clemson University is necessary to play.
