WATCH: Watkins hosts charity bowling event

by - Assoc. Editor -

Former Clemson standout wide receiver Sammy Watkins held a charity bowling event on Sunday in Buffalo, NY to provide scholarships to local students.

"A lot of kids really don't get to come to games, a lot of families don't have the money and it's unfortunate," said Watkin in the WGRZ video. "But, just to come here so they can connect with us -- not just seeing us on TV, or not seeing us in 30 seconds, and we gotta leave and just sign stuff -- but to actually see the guy that's under that helmet, that he's a great guy and a guy that actually loves the fans and to give back."
