
Tee Higgins sets school record |
Clemson receiver Tee Higgins caught a 7-yard touchdown to put the Tigers up 30-7 in the second quarter against Virginia in the ACC Championship game.
The touchdown reception was his second of the game, and he becomes the first player in Clemson history to catch multiple touchdowns in three consecutive games. He also has a streak of five straight games with a touchdown. For the first half of action, he has seven catches for 117 yards and the two scores. He also posted the 11th 1,000-yard receiving season in school history with the second touchdown, according to the Clemson SID. He also tied Perry Tuttle and Mike Williams for fourth-most career 100-yard games in school history. Update: Higgins currently has a career-high 182 yards and ACC Championship record 3 receiving touchdowns.
