Clemson senior running back
Tavien Feaster has entered his name into NCAA transfer portal, TigerNet has confirmed with a school official. Feaster still could return to the Tigers but as for right now sources say he wants to look at his options.
"There is nothing but love for Clemson and the Clemson coaches. There are no hard feelings there," Feaster's dad, Terrance, told TigerNet. "Clemson fans have reached out to us and made us a part of the Clemson family, at tailgates and football games, and we will always love Clemson. He will always be a Tiger. This is just something he felt like he needed to do." Feaster has a year of eligibility remaining and is on track to graduate this summer, meaning he can transfer to the school of his choice (that has a Masters program Clemson doesn’t offer) without having to sit out a year, or can transfer down a level (to FCS or lower) without having to sit out a season. He enters 2019 with 1,330 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on 222 carries and 23 receptions for 183 yards and one touchdown in 674 snaps over 41 career games (11 starts). Feaster ranked second in Clemson history in career yards per carry (5.99) behind only teammate Travis Etienne as of the conclusion of the 2018 season. Feaster gained 440 yards and six touchdowns on 78 carries as well as 11 receptions for 71 yards in 231 snaps over 13 games in 2018.
