Swinney updates Watson's rehab progress |
After Clemson quarterback
Deshaun Watson
Deshaun Watson Dabo Swinney confirmed it Wednesday. "He is not your normal player," Swinney said during a National Signing Day interview on ESPNU. "He is a month or two ahead of where anyone else would be." Watson tore his ACL in a practice before the Georgia State game but chose to play against arch-rival South Carolina before having surgery in early December. Clemson expects to have Watson back in time for summer workouts. As a freshman, Watson was 93-of-137 passing for 1,466 yards, 14 touchdowns and two interceptions and carried the ball 63 times for 263 yards and five scores in just eight games.
