The Clemson fan base has had a bitter sentiment the last several days after the Tigers' stunning 88-85 overtime loss against the Yellow Jackets in the second round of the ACC tournament.
It was not losing to a similarly skilled Georgia Tech team (19-13) that crushed diehard Clemson fans but the complete collapse of being up 18 points with 8:30 to go and not finding a way to win.
However, not is all lost for the seniors on the team, fans, etc. because the latest NIT projections have Clemson securing a place in the field of 32 teams.
Clemson is projected as a #5 seed facing off against #4 seed Hofstra according to bracketmatrix.com. Other ACC schools in their NIT projections included Florida State (#1 seed), Georgia Tech (#2 seed) and Virginia Tech (#6 seed).
